Physical Abuse of Children

Child Abuse cases alleging physical abuse of a child include intentional assaults of a child that injure the child and cases involving mistreatment of a child where the child is seriously injured because the “basic necessities of life” have been withheld.

These cases often depend on circumstantial evidence and expert medical testimony regarding the cause of injuries. There may often be a significant question regarding who caused the child’s injuries. These are extremely sensitive and often difficult cases that require a skilled and experienced attorney to thoroughly investigate, analyze the evidence, and develop and present a defense.

These are very serious felony charges that result in a lengthy prison sentence if a person is convicted.
